LOOOONG time

Ok, so I know it's been a while since my last post.....again. But I have been taking pictures of the exciting stuff so there will be a few places to click for pictures in this post. Starting with our trip to Camp this year (Daniela has more on her camera, so those will be added later). We went up for the first Sunday, which is what these pictures are from, then we came back up the following Wednesday. It was Daniela's first time up to Camp and I think she enjoyed it, it was nice just to get away and relax for a while, and she got to go on a couple boat rides....thank you Marcia! Check out the pictures from Camp by clicking on the picture above.

Next we went up to visit Chris and Katie and the fam in VT. We had a blast up there. We went up the long Labor Day weekend. The kids warmed up quickly, well Tyler more than Anna, but she came around eventually. We took a lot of pictures up there, it was a beautiful weekend. We got up there Saturday afternoon and hung out and enjoyed the nice weather. Sunday we took a tour of downtown Burlington and checked out a couple of the other local sites. Chris and Katie were able to get a sitter for the evening, and the four of us went out to dinner. It was a nice little place with pretty good food, but we all had a great time. Monday morning they took us to check out Cold Hollow Farm (I had never been there either). So we got some cider, donuts and a couple other things up there. Unfortunately the little wine tasting part wasn't open yet, so we didn't get to try any of that stuff. Then we all went to the Cabot store and ate some cheese....mmmm yummy. Chris and Katie had to get the kids back for lunch and their naps, so we had to part ways then, but our VT fun wasn't over yet. After we said our goodbyes, Daniela and I continued down into Stowe and went up to the Von Trapp Family Lodge...nice place, but not too much to see up there. Then we went to the Ben and Jerry's factory, unfortunately, they were not making ice cream that day. We still went on the tour and took some pictures. Click HERE for VT pics.

THEN...a couple weekends ago we went apple picking with the rest of the Walker clan, I'm sure some of you saw Brett's blog and already got a good idea of what to expect from Demerrit Farms. I didn't think it was THAT bad. It was busy, and a little expensive, and I guess the people weren't that friendly to my mom, but I missed that part. But it was fun, we got outside and walked around, trying to find the good apples that were left on the trees, but they were pretty bare. Click HERE for apple picking pictures.

Last but not least....Daniela and I went with her sister and her boyfriend to the U2 concert that was at Gilette a couple weeks ago. I'll admit, I like U2, but I wouldn't think to go to a concert, but I would DEFINITELY go see them again. They played all their good old stuff, and some new stuff too. But it was a great show! Click HERE for U2 pictures.

Ok, there is other news too, but no pictures. For those that don't know, I got a new job at Mass General Hospital as a Data Manager. It will be a lot of computer work, and not as hands on as my job at EnviroVantage, but I'm sure I will be much happier. The first week went well, orientation for two days and then a lot of reading to catch up on the study that I will be working on, but within the next couple of weeks, I think it will be picking up and I will be off and running on my own....for the most part. We also got a new car, since we are both commuting down to Boston on a daily basis, it made more sense. I traded in the truck and we both agreed on the 2010 Subaru Legacy....all wheel drive, automatic, and it gets A LOT better MPG's than the Tundra did....but it was bittersweet. But the Legacy is comfortable and we both love it, so we are happy :) I'll try to update more often, but I make no promises....just be patient! I hope everyone is doing well.

Zoo and Mt Washington

Another big post, Mt. Washington has the most pics, so don't feel like you have to look through them all...but they are pretty good. Anyways, Daniela thought it would be fun to take her cousin's son, Christian to York's Wild Animal Kingdom. It was pretty fun, until he got tired and cranky....then...game over! But we did have a great time, it was gorgeous out and he is still talking about it, so he apparently had a good time too. There are some pictures and videos of that if you click HERE. A couple weeks ago we went down to Newburyport for the day, we usually go to Portsmouth or Boston, so this was a nice change. I've never really been down there, but it had a lot of stuff to see and do. Unfortunately no pictures of that, but after we went down there, we came back home and were looking for something else to do, so I showed Daniela Colcord Pond. There are a few pictures of that by clicking HERE! Lastly this past weekend we went up to Mt. Washington, neither of us had been there before. We had a great day for that, the ride up was a little more nerve racking than the ride down...stupid people coming down not yielding...and the Tundra isn't exactly the smallest vehicle. We didn't know, that previously in the day, there was a motorcycle accident, where the driver drove off the mountain, into a tree and died before they could med-flight him out. We found that out sunday night at my mom's house. Luckily we made it unscathed! Check out the pics by clicking on the picture of the truck in front of the mountain above....fyi, there are a lot...you've been warned.

BBQ's and B-days

Ok, so there has been a lot going on since the last time I posted, and I'm stuffing them all into one post. We have had some birthdays, and holiday/family get togethers and other random things going on. I don't have any pictures of it, but we had a joint birthday party for Chris and I, which was great, thank you again everyone. Then the next weekend Daniela and I went down to Boston to see the fireworks, and we ended up having a cookout with some of her family, and then we watched the fireworks from their rooftop. That was pretty cool, you could see EVERY town around that was putting on a show...probably between 10-15 different towns could be seen at any one time. We couldn't really get any good pictures of the fireworks, but trust me, it was cool to see from the rooftop...check out pics of the cookout here. Oh yeah, somewhere along the way, Daniela and I went up to the Nubble Lighthouse to check it out, so there are some pictures of that if you click on the big picture of it above. We also had a joint birthday party with my dad's side of the family for me, my dad, Rose, Scotty and my Aunt Bonnie who was up for a few weeks with Diego, from Florida...I'm sure most of you had the chance to see her again. I don't have any pictures of that, but everyone had a great time and all the kids are getting pretty big. I also actually had my first meal, that I remember, coming off a grill. So I have to thank Jay for making that pizza on the grill, which prompted Daniela and I to go buy a grill of our own...although she will eat more than pizza from it. We did find some interesting recipes for grilled corn on the cob that we are anxious to try. But back to the grill, we got it at Lowes and I decided to take it home and put it together myself, because according to the kid at Lowes, "you can get it up and running in 30 minutes"...That's the last time I trust anyone who works at Lowes! It wasn't too bad, but definitely not 30 minutes, you can see the new grill here. The last thing I have to add to catch up is the pics from the Red Sox game Danielas Uncle Anthony took us to. It was over Memorial Day weekend and he had some tickets from work so we got to tag along, her brother Silvio also came...pics here.

It's been a while

Yeah, I know it's been a while, but here are a bunch of pictures from our trip to NYC for Danielas cousin Silvios graduation. There are also a couple pictures of the Tundra rolling past her first 1000 miles! And a few pictures of the stormy skies from a couple weeks ago, and our new hibiscus plant that seems to be doing well so far. Click on the picture for more pics of NYC and click here to see the hibiscus.....enjoy.

Babysitting!

So Daniela and I had our first experience babysitting Cam....and what an experience it was. She was great overall, we just couldn't tell what she wanted, so we tried EVERYTHING. Changing diapers....pacifier...bottle....walking and patting her back...singing...music....tv....bottle...pacifier...you get the idea. Nothing worked. Well, she did fall asleep for about 25-30 minutes, then I had to clear my throat and that was the end of that. So finally Daniela wanted to give the bottle one last shot, and little Cameron wouldn't let it go. She had 4 - 2oz bottles, and then she was happy as a clam for the next 20 mintues until Brett and Carey came home. Overall an interesting experience (for us and Cameron, I'm sure) She is one strong little girl. She was holding her bottle all by herself, Daniela let it go for a second to see what she would do and she held it right there. We bought her some new shoes and a hat that are still a little big, but she will grow into the for late summer....hopefully. We took a picture of her in her new kicks. I also got my inner handy-man on this past week. I installed an overhead light above the stove, and then on sunday we bought a buffet/hutch combo and I (we) put that together sunday night. There are some pictures of the rearranged kitchen in there to showcase my sweet skills. If anyone wants me to build them a custom cabinet system like ours, just let me know....then go buy it and give me the directions and voila!

Goodbye Jetta

She was a great car, even though we had our rough patches together, but it was time to move on. So a couple weeks ago I test drove an '09 Tundra and fell in love. I picked her up yesterday after I got out of work. Unfortunately I forgot the camera, so there are some pictures at the dealership of the truck next to the Jetta, which were taken last Sunday when I test drove it. Then there are a couple new pictures of the Tundra outside our apartment. Daniela was kind enough to take some parting shots of the Jetta while we were driving away from the dealership. Despite getting a new truck, it was a very sad day, the Jetta will be missed, but we have already welcomed the truck into the family. Click on the truck for pics of the truck, and the two parting shots of the Jetta.

Angel Bird?

Daniela was up in the bedroom yesterday and found this interesting mark on the window. I ouldn't find a bird outside, so he must have made it out alright....slightly confused, but alright. I'll try to get better pictures, but there isn't an easy way to get something darker out the window for contrast....so hopefully you can all see the mark of the new angel bird. It's actually much more ompressive in person, you can see where his beak is and the wings and tail...like I said, I'll try to get some better pictures before it rains.

Easter 2009

Here are some pictures from Easter. Cam looked so cute in her new purple dress! There are a couple random pics of the cat in there, just because. Hopefully this and the last post satisfy the updates, not too much exciting going on on Stonewall Way right now. But I'll try to update more than once a month. Enjoy.

Don't call it a comeback......because they never came back

Last night we went to support Brett and other local cops in their bid to defeat Troop-A of the State Police in a basketball game to benefit the DARE program. While the game was quite entertaining, the local cops didn't fair too well....they couldn't buy a basket in the first quarter. Brett did have some highlights during the game, I have a couple videos, so hopefully they work. Anyways, everyone had a good time, I won a sweet gift bag that had a bunch of DARE stuff in a raffle. I'm not going to lie, I really only wanted the PS3 they were giving away...didn't happen. Click on the scoreboard (yes that was the actual final score...local cops were the home team...I know) for some pictures and videos...oh yeah, there was also a demonstration at halftime of one of the drug dogs, I didn't get my camera out in time, so I didn't catch the entire thing, but I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that dogs bite...I believe his name is Genghis. Enjoy.

Nothing exciting

Nothing too exciting to post about. Daniela went to Ireland a few weeks ago so you can go visit her blog, by clicking on the link to the right, and check out the pictures she took over there....fyi, Irish peope are crazy, just check out the pics of the parade. Then there are a couple random pictures I took around the house today, just because I was bored and needed something to post on here, so don't be critical of the artwork :) There are a couple of the chicken I inherited from Grammy. It has found a happy new home on our dining room table. There is a picture of an Irish Ragdoll that Daniela picked up in Ireland for Cam, which I'm sure there will be pictures of Cam with her new Irish buddy later. Then there are a couple pictures off our balcony, and out the front window. I can't wait until it gets a little nicer and greener out, then maybe Daniela and I can go exploring the nature trails down the powerlines. So far we have only heard snowmobiles throughout the winter going up and down the trails. Anyways, keep checking back, something exciting is bound to happen!

Cameron Elizabeth

Daniela and I went over to Brett and Carey's tonight to visit Cam. Here are some pictuers, and maybe a couple videos with her making funny faces (most likely while pooping). There's also a couple pictures of our first Valentines Day together...mmm...cupcakes, chocolate covered fruit and champagne. Oh and one random picture of Brett finding a new use for the boppy....at least I think that's what it's called. Anyways, if you can't tell, he's using it as a table to eat off of.

Lot's of new stuff

Ok, I know it's been a while since I posted last...but there have been lots of changes in my world since then....starting off with the most exciting...unfortunately I don't have pictures of this yet. But, Brett and Carey are now Mom and Dad...I'm sure all of you know already, but I couldn't update without putting it on. We are all so happy to have invited Cameron Elizabeth Walker into the world on February 10, 2009. And yes, she is as adorable as you can imagine a baby would be considering the father...but she really is beautiful, Daniela and I can't wait to babysit her. On to other news...we moved into our new place. Just click on the picture of us and it should bring you to other pictures of the move in process. FYI, it looks better now that we have most things put away, and don't worry, we will have a little get together so everyone can see it soon. Last but not least is my work situation. My boss decided to leave the company due to severe back problems, so by default I got promoted (but a promotions' a promotion) to Envirovantages Director of Mold Operations...sounds fancy doesn't it? haha...but basically I am doing a lot of sales and estimating now. Whew, a lot of info in a little box, but that's it for now. More pictures of our place and Cameron are sure to follow, but I needed to update. So my computer is being retarded....the pictures will be up this weekend :)

New Place!!

Ok, so no pictures of the new place, but Daniela and I are moving in together this weekend. There will be pictures of the post-move in, and after we get settled everyone is welcome to come and pay us a visit.

Hey everyone....nothing special going on this week, just thought I'd put in a few more pictures. One is just of Daniela and I at Fenway in May, click on the other one and you can see our first Christmas together. We ended up picking out my parents tree since one was busy making caramel corn and the other was incapacitated. There's a self-portrait of the camera Daniela got me for Christmas that is allowing me to take all these new pictures. I swear the tree didn't look crooked outside, but it had quite a curve to it once we got it inside. But it served it's purpose and didn't fall over....enjoy.

More updates from '08

Click on the picture of my feet above for a couple videos from the bahamas, there will be more pictures of the trip we took in July later. I just have to find the CD with the pictures on it, that are currently lost in my apartment that was leaking....and pictures of that can be seen by clicking on the photo of the leaking ceiling above :)

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I had a great Christmas, and a great New Year's...hopefully 2009 will be a little better than the latter half of 2008. I have a bunch of pictures from the past 10-11 months so forgive me if I post some things that aren't really in order, or if some pictures seem random. The first ones I'll post are of when Daniela and I took a road trip to Castine, Me....where I went to college. It was a great little drive at the peak of foliage season, so at least the drive was pretty, but it was still as long as it ever was. We did make a few pit stops on the way up, for breakfast and then at the "Nut house" in Searsport (I think?) for a little candy and fudge...I highly recommend the salty nut ball fudge. It sounds dirty, but it tastes good. Alright, more from the past year to come later, eventually I'll get caught up to current events.
